My new roommate: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit

Even though I work on the Disney Studios lot, I had to go to eBay to get my hands on this lovely plush Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. If you haven't seen the old Ub Iwerks/Walt Disney Oswald cartoons of the 1920's you're in for a treat!

...and I've also fallen in love with the Oswalds that were done by Walter Lantz and Bill Nolan:

I've never seen those Lantz Oswald's before!!! How fantastic! Are they available on DVD?

No official DVDs, but if you scroll down to the bottom of this page: http://www.cartoonresearch.com/garagesale.html you might be able to get the unofficial DVDs from Jerry Beck. I found out about them by watching them at the ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive in Burbank. The videos on YouTube are pretty much the same quality as the ones from ASIFA and Jerry.

Wow... what a cool find. I've got a fairly big collection of stuffed cartoon characters, and have toyed with putting some of them up on e-bay, but there are a select few that I can't see myself parting with, just because I know they'll never be made again or because I just think they're too cool. One of them is a KoKo the Clown doll I got from the Museum of Cartoon Art back when it was located in Rye,NY.
