It’s finally here! Today is the release date for the very first issue of SpongeBob Comics! I’m very proud to say that I drew and painted the cover art for this baby!

In the next few days I’m also gonna be posting the TON of rejected preliminary drawings from this project. There’s a lot of drawings that I really like a lot, but for one reason or another they were all passed over for the version you see above. So come back soon and check ‘em out!

    Interesting that you totally inked in SpongeBob's 'spongeholes' in Illustrator...why was that?

    @Anonymous--yes, this was all done with the same procesws I use in the tutorials: Pencils to scans to Illustrator to Photoshop to ArtRage :)

  14. WOW! now I'm not a comic book guy but I heard they made Darkwing Duck comics but ive been holding off looking for them but now that there are Spongebob comics, with AWESOME Cover Art btw, I gotta head over to my local comic store! ASAP
