Little Aspirin Harvey Kurtzman magic tricks comic book filler page Based on the ever-evolving  cartooning styles during Harvey Kurtzman’s pre-MAD “Hey Look” comics, I’d peg these as being drawn around 1947.

From “Little Aspirin” #1 July 1949

The Little Aspirin comic was published in 1949, but I’m betting these filler pages were sitting around for a couple years before they were published.

  2. Sweet Jeebus!!! That's wonderful!!! As Kurtzman fans we all loong to find something that we haven't already seen a dozen times or more. Even on my own blog, I just posted some Hey Look! in color. Yeah, it's in color, but it's still the same Hey Look! that we all own.

Great find!!! Thanks so much for sharing!

  3. Hot diggety damn! I have looked through many books, but never came across these! I don't know about their age. I think they could be from the period Kurtzman tried to escape Hey Look... or at least try to sell something else when Hey Look was axed...
