A few people, including me, use things like those magic reproducers not so much to fake talent as to avoid erasure marks. Specifically, I've used one to project ruled lines for a calligraphy project, and another fellow noted that he inked the projections of pencilled work.
(Granted that a sort of talent would remove need for either of those uses.)
